Give Back to Those Who Have Created a Legacy This Giving Tuesday
Join the Jewish Association on Aging this December 2nd for our 3rd annual Day of Giving! This Giving Tuesday take inspiration from the generations who have created your family's legacy and built our communities by giving a gift in their honor to JAA.
JAA's Day of Giving shines a spotlight on the seniors in our lives by securing charitable gifts that ensure JAA can meet their needs with compassion and high-quality programs and services, wherever they choose to call home, regardless of their economic situation.
All funds raised during the JAA Day of Giving will be used to support our Home & Community Based Services (HCBS), which bring the very best of the JAA to seniors in our area who are aging in place.
JAA’s HCBS includes many of the same services provided to those who live in one of our three residential facilities, including:
- Skilled medical and mental health nursing
- Wound care
- Home Health aides
- PT@JCC and Outpatient Therapy @ JAA - physical, occupational, and speech therapies
- Sivitz Hospice & Palliative Care - enhanced end-of life-care that addresses physical, spiritual, and emotional needs while managing pain and other symptoms.
- JAA’s Anathan Adult Day Memory Care - therapeutic programming facilitated by experienced, highly trained staff.
- Mollie’s Meals - JAA’s own food delivery service, providing nutritious meals to qualifying homebound seniors.
JAA also participates in AgeWell Pittsburgh, a collaborative effort with the Jewish Community Center (JCC) and Jewish Family & Community Services (JF&CS). AgeWell Assistance provided by JAA includes care navigation and home modification that focuses on independence at home. Aging in place is possible with compassionate, professional, and reliable in-home services such as these.
In the last year, the JAA provided services to over 2,400 seniors in our area, with over 22,600 meals delivered by Mollie's Meals, 20,500 visits completed by Home Health, 4,300 visits made by Hospice, 1,000 participant days at Anathan, and 12,900 patient visits conducted by outpatient therapy.
Your gift today will have an immediate impact on the seniors in our area who rely on these programs and services for support.
Give a gift that truly makes a difference this Giving Tuesday and help us continue to do good today and all year 'round!
